O yes, Poirot is amazing. I love his quirky habits in the movies, haven't read the books though.

I collected all of the Agatha Christie mysteries when I was younger. I loved both Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple!

Maigret, most recently played by Rowan Atkinson, was very good, but only a few episodes were ever made. I thought his nonchalant character and the brilliant plots, coupled with the excellent period costumes and places it was filmed, made the ambience of this series really watchable. I thought he suited the part so well. I also enjoyed Detective Frost, who was played by the actor David Jason was also excellent; he was such a grumpy old man, so unlike the suave, witty, modern detectives!

Detective Conan and Sherlock Holmes became my favorites after watching their movies. On television, there were often Detective Conan movies when I was a child, and it became one of my favorite shows. I started liking Sherlock Holmes after watching the movie during my college years.
