Hi! Yes, I try to avoid any distractions while reading. 😂 I usually read in a secluded spot so I can concentrate and enjoy my book.

I can't read in the presence of my loved ones. Because I care they might think I ignored them.

My wife ignores me all the time while she is reading, however I am unable to do the same when reading. When you have kids, I would say it is hard to completely tune out the world around you.

Yes, I'm afraid I do tend to ignore people when I am reading. I get so engrossed in the novel that I become oblivious to everything going on around me. I try to shut myself away in a room and tune out. It doesn't stop my family from trying to interrupt me unfortunately.

I hate interruptions while reading a good book and so yes, I do.

I have to admit...Yes. Yes, I do ignore people when I'm reading a good book. This is not an issue at home since I have my own reading nook. Also I think having a boyfriend who is also a bookworm helps.

The people will even hate to be in the same room with me when I am reading because I blank everyone.

I have done this, but as a single mom I am always focussed on my toddler and I will then rather read once we go to bed to make sure I don't skip my time with him due to a good book. With a stresful life, it is so easy to get immersed in a good book and just disappear for a while.

It does not have to be a good book for me to ignore people. I have a 'nasty' habit of completely submersing myself into the book I am reading and everything else is just noise. When someone is talking to me while I am reading it is almost like awaking from a dream, where at some point the real world begins to merge with the dream and you question "Am I missing something?". Then I come into the real world. I often have to set alarms for myself when I am reading or else, I will just continue to read and read and read and responsibilities are forgotten.

I can't ignore my loved ones, especially my little niece. My God! I can't focus so I just stop. I need peaceful and quiet place when I'm reading. But most of the time when I am around them, I put down my phone, and let life happen.

Yes, I do. In fact, I get really irritated if someone disturbs me while reading.
