I can't say I've ever only bought a book because of the cover. I normally read the descriptions, but it's cover does play a large role in if I am going to buy that book.
Like, if there is the same book with multiple covers available, I will pick the book with the most appealing cover.

I would say the cover art plays a role combined with other factors like the summary and author, for me to decide which book to buy.

I know the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover", but I'm sorry, the cover is the main driving force behind if I will even think about the book. Unless it's a massively popular series, I will not consider it if the cover art is not appealing to eye.

The cover of the book is often what attracts me in the first place... I don't think I have bought a book without checking out the title and description though. I think cover art and the book title gives an unknown author their shot at being spotted amongst all the books out there.

I don't remember purchasing a book just because of the cover art. I find myself attracted to pretty covers, but if I find the content boring, I usually don't buy them.

I don’t buy books just because of the cover art but an attractive cover can get my interest and make me see what it’s about. Once, in elementary school, I noticed a book at the library because of the cover art and I felt guilty about it because I’d always been told “Never judge a book by its cover” and I guess I took that literally!

Oliver Jeffers' books are great because of their attractive covers and they are good children's books. Sometimes, I buy them just because the covers are appealing.

I also bought ""The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" By mark Manson because I remembered the cover looked interesting that time.
