Favourite genre and book.

What's your favourite genre/(s)? Is there any particular reason for your choice, or is it just a personal preference? And what's your favourite book? Is it from one of your favourite genres or not? If yes, then is the genre favourite because of the book, and if not, what's so captivating in that book that you like it so much?

My favorite genre is definitely romantic novels!
One of my favorites is "The Notebook", I know it is cliche but I really like it!
