Do you like books that discuss the idea of what happens after dying, being between the realms etc or do you think it is unrealistic?

A lot of the times we as human beings tend to forget entirely about the fact that one day we will die and go about our normal businesses as if though we are immortal beings, thus indeed I like and enjoy reading books dicusses what happens after death. They make me rethink my actions.

I don't mind books that discuss death and the afterlife. Often, I find that it puts your life in perspective. Whether you are a religious person or not, I think lessons can be learned from reading about death.

One of my all-time favorite books, Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice, is about the in between realm. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also feel as though The Lovely Bones may not be exactly what you're talking about, but it also does the death thing well.

I admit to a great liking for books that deal with reincarnation, dual time periods, and the like. Barbara Erskine is particularly good at this. On the non-fiction (okay, some would query that, but that's another argument!) I find Helen Wambach's books fascinating.

I don't like reading these books because I feel at best that most authors are speculating. Nobody knows for certain what lies on the other side. It is also very sobering though I admit one needs to think about these things to maintain a healthy balance and perspective about life

These books are dangerous for many because it contains something that we have never seen or experience. When I read those books I feel disconnected from the reality.

Currently I am reading a book as you said. It is not exactly after death experience book, but it is about the death bed experience book where people travel between the realms. And I think it's unrealistic.

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Clune is a good one.
