Yes I have been upset several times at some characters in some books. Sometimes it is either they are too boring to follow or they seem to perform below my expectations.

Yes! There have been many instances, while reading, that I have said things like "stop, don't do that! Nooooo...."
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

All the time. I even have imaginary arguments with some of them. And scold them if it gets too much or ridiculous in my opinion.

Many times. I become so invested in the characters that I find myself wanting to scream at some of them, "No, why would you do that!" as though they were alive!

Yes, many times. Id like to reach into the book and slap the character so hard the author would feel it.

Oh yeah. Sometimes, I get angry at the stupidity of the character; sometimes they do things that make absolutely no sense and that ticks me off.

Other times, I'm irritated at the character's personality. Some characters are whiny, or stubborn, or just plain selfish. I dislike greedy characters or characters who think they're the only ones who matter.

Yes, I have been. During the Harry Potter series, actually got mad at Draco Malfoy and Snape for being so mean towards Harry and the others. I also got irritated with Voldemort's characters then.

Yes.
In the Legend series by Marie lu.
At the end of the series, June upset me with the decision she made towards Day.
The bit after made me cry as well.

Yes! It was genuinely hard for me to read scenes with Umbridge in Harry Potter because of how much I loathed her.

Yes. I got upset at Matt Preston in the Bad Vibes Series by H.M. Irwing, because of the way he abused Anna who loved him so deeply that she allowed him to take her virginity.

I got so upset with the main character in Crank (teen fiction about a girl getting involved in drugs) that I refused to read the next book in the series. The girl was pregnant in the end and she still refused to quit using or get help. I just wanted to reach into the book and slap her.

I have actually spoken aloud to a character that made me angry with their actions. I got some strange looks from my family, until they realized I was reading on my Kindle app and not just randomly talking to myself.
