I just read a novel called, Court of Dragons by Frost Kay. I really enjoyed the novel and would definitely recommend it to others who enjoy fantasy. I give it a 4 out of 4 stars.

I read The Toaster Oven Mocks Me by Steve Margolis.

It is a memoir that is supposed to be about synesthesia.

It contained some things that I was unaware of (types of synesthesia; some of the author's synesthesia actually disappearing for a time, which I've never heard of before), but was overall more just a general recounting of the author's life, who just happens to be a synesthete. I do not like the author at all. To use the old joke; 'if you looked up toxic masculinity in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of this author.'
He literally lied to his wife for at least ten years. I can't even.

Anyway, there are much better memoirs that center synesthesia much more, and with much more information about it. This one was worth reading only because it was short and easy to read. I still only gave it a 1 (and kind of wished I could give it a zero). I'm glad I'm done.

On to the next!

Alpha's Temptation by Renee Rose and Lee Saving.
It is a paranormal romance novel.
It was interesting but still had the same old vibe to it as other paranormal novels, was expecting something different, but all the same, it was a good read.

The last book I read was "The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting" by Evanna Lynch (actress and animal rights activist). It's her memoir where she talks about the eating disorder that she had to face for many years and also the casting for Harry Potter and her passion for arts and literature. I wouldn't advise it to someone who is currently struggling with an ED because it can be triggering. She handled the topic incredibly well in the sense that she didn't go into specific details that would give people ideas, but at the same time, she was very honest about her experience. Overall, it was interesting to learn about her life, I could relate to her (many people can relate to her, I'm sure) and I love her writing style; it's quite poetic. <3

This sounds like quite an interesting read though, I am a fan of paranormal novels with some romance in them, so I believe I shall enjoy it. Looking forward to reading it.

For online book club, Kalayla, which I rated 4/4 because I love the way the story was written about three different generations of women. I enjoyed it a lot.

The last book I read not for online book club was Sisters and Spies by Susan Ottaway. I enjoy wartime novels, fiction, and non-fiction. This book was based on a true story about two sisters who worked for the Resistance during the Second World War and I found it fascinating. I would recommend it and give it a 10/10 for those people interested in wartime history.

Provoked To Anger by Cheray Gardison.
10/10
A young adult christian read that focuses on some of the most sensitive issues in our society. It is intense yet subtle. I loved it.
