I like reading for so many different reasons. I read to learn (quite obvious eh!). I read just for fun. But I also read to take my mind somewhere away from my current world, either just observing the characters' world or imagining myself also to be a part of that world.

I love to read because it lets me escape into another world and see things from different points of view. Reading is a great way for me to find out about new things, learn more, and understand the world better. It also helps me unwind and calm down at the end of a long day. Reading is a great way to pass the time because it lets me escape from the real world and learn about new stories and characters.

Reading brings me answers to things I need guidance to do or complete. I like it for bringing me peace in a chaotic world. It brings me feelings of things that I haven't seen or experienced from others who have traveled the world. Historical fiction helps me feel a part of those times in history that didn't make sense in history classes. I like it as it helps me endure difficult times or to dry my tears. I like reading as it brings back voices from those who read to me as a child. Reading brings to me comfort as I live and breathe.

Today,
I think I like to read because...

I do not believe you have to experience something in order to learn something.
I believe you can learn from other people's experiences.
So if someone is willing to tell you their experience, then one should be open to understanding that experience. To me, that's what books reveal....someone else's experience, so I don't have to experience that but I can learn from it.

1) To escape. I love being transported to another time or place. I love that feeling of seeing or doing or experiencing something different.

2) To see things from a different perspective. I love a book that makes me think and shows me things from other people's perspectives.
Same here, dumpling. Reading is a great escapade

For me it’s productive time. With eBooks instead of picking my phone up and browsing social media I read instead.
We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

1. I was an only child and was in middle school before computers in the home were a thing. I still didn’t get a computer until I was in high school. So I read a lot.
2. If it’s a mystery, I like to see how the character solves it and see if I can solve it before they do.
3. I love the descriptions in sci-fi and fantasy books
4. I like immersing myself in the lives of fictional characters.

I love reading primarily fictional books because reading lets you excape from the real world. Even for just a few minutes or so a day. It provides an escape from the harsh real world and minutes or even hours of freedom wondering in mysterious new worlds. This all happens within the pages of the book. Sometimes i even find myself trapped in the book i refuse to come out. I can continue reading for hours on end and only stop when i am hungry or thirsty.

An escape to the fantasy world. A break from reality. A wonderful companion for life. The urge of turning every page making you eager to finish the book.
Between the pages of a book is the loveliest place to be :techie-studyingbrown: :D

Reading is important because it allows me to learn new things and helps me understand the world around me. Reading is a tool for self-improvement. Besides reading being fun, it is the perfect way to escape the stress of everyday life, often enjoying great stories. It is the most valuable and enjoyable way to spend time.

Of course, I like fictitious books where mystery and drama interest me more.

I like reading because it gives me an opportunity to experience some places and life that are not physically possible. It also gives me an opportunity to reconnect with my storytelling side of me.

I love reading because through it I learn about new things and terms. It boosts my intellectual self.

Also, I love reading for fun, viewing different things from different people's perspective .
