Reading takes attention away from my life, it's a great escape for me. And it's a great sleeping pill for me 😀... The

To me reading is a skill that increases your creativity. In my local church (Family of God), I was a theatrical drama group leader. I wrote scripts, auditioned the talent, directed the dramas and acted in some of them. Being a reader made all these things come easy to me.

I think what I enjoy most about reading is the paradox of escaping and connecting at the same time. When we find out that others share our thoughts, it provides comfort, and when they do not, we encounter different perspectives and this encourages empathy.

Most of the successful people I know are readers. Even the so called college dropouts who are now successful owning their own businesses are still reading, whether on social media, business books or magazines etc there are still reading. I would like to believe that reading is the foundation of success.

I have never thought about why I like reading so much. I have noticed one thing though, whenever I am angry or sad, I run off to read something. Any genre, I don't mind. But, I have to read! And, once I start reading, I get engrossed in it and I don't have emotions at all while reading. Like, whatever anger or sadness I felt just dissipates into thin air and I am emotion less. I am very relaxed when I am reading.

I started reading way too early. I remember running off to my school library when I was in primary school to read books whenever there was free classes. And, we used to have library classes too. That classes was just us choosing books in the library and read while maintaining silence. And, if interested we were allowed to choose one book in exchange of our library card for a week. Oh, how nostalgic.

I actually started reading online when I caught my sibling reading from Wattpad and that's when I got to know that there were books in the internet and not just in library. >_<``

It depends on the person, and although the question sounds pretty easy, the answer would depend on many things. But for me personally, reading as well as writing are one of my pleasures in work and personal life. If I enter between the pages, only a handful of people can get me out.

For me, reading is a road to populating your mental theater. A daydream in real time, a movie that only you can see. Turn a page, time moves along. Go back a page or two, or three, or more, and turn back time. It's your personal universe. That's what makes it fun. :)

I grew up with a family of recluse, we only ever travelled, made friends, and saw the world in the words of a page.

Then came smartphones and the internet...

I like reading because I get to experience times, people and adventures that I would never get to see. I live in a small town, and reading helps me to see beyond my boundaries.

The second reason I like to read is to gain knowledge. I’m a lifelong learner and student. Books allow us to learn new vocabulary words, facts, and others way of seeing things.

I love reading for a lot of reasons but mainly because it always teaches me new words and it transfers me to where I have never been before.
