Also, it helps my grammar and I learn new words.
And lastly, to learn new things. I don't have the luxury of traveling so reading a book can tell me more about a particular country or culture.

Reading has helped me cope with a lot of traumas, it has granted me an escape from harsh reality, and it has taught me a lot about the world outside my world.
Reading has helped me understand people and their perspectives, it has helped in building my vocabulary, and it has granted me a lot of freedom for my imagination and created great memories in my mind.
I don't think I would survive a world without a good book.
