“First, I want to apologize for coming to your consulting room even after receiving the letter saying you were no longer practicing and, therefore, could no longer be my - or anyone else’s - analyst.”

This is from We Are the Light: A Novel by Matthew Quick! Definitely a fun read for those who like to discover more about their narrator through their thoughts and perspectives rather than through the limited interactions they have, as the story is told through a series of letters. I don’t want to spoil too much, but let’s just say things aren’t exactly what they seem in the little town of Majestic, and this tragic tale of healing takes a careful and patient reader to unravel its many mysteries!
