I love the smell of new books!! and old books!! It adds to the overall experience and joy of reading. The first thing I do before starting a book is smell it. It sounds kind of gross as I type that, but that is what I do.

I absolutely love the smell of new books! I can't say that I've intentionally smelled too many, but just being able to catch the scent when flipping through the pages makes me happy :)

I love the smell of books. I do sniff them intentionally before starting to read a book. It's an amazing smell.

That is why before reading any book I smell it first, the book smell is so good.

I wouldn't quite say that it is a mesmerizing experience, but books do have a particular scent of their own that I've appreciated on some occasions. It's usually not intentional, but it is observed at times.
Maybe I should train my senses more keenly to it. Thanks. :tiphat:

I often smell my books and it is true that the older they are, the better they smell.

I also love the smell of new books. One reason I prefer a hardcopy book to an ebook.

I love the smell of books and sometimes it lingers for some time, that is the greatest.

I can smell a book just by reading this! It’s addictive. I also love the smell of banknotes and always wondered if I’m alone. As a kid I used to place banknotes in my books because the combination drives me wild. Am I strange?
