I love the smell of books. That accompanied with a warm summer day makes for a perfect day for me. Makes me feel light and happy.

I also love the smell of books, especially new ones.

You are not alone. When I walk into a book store my nasal passages are instantly in Heaven.

At a college I attended, the library had a bulletin board dedicated to displaying patron suggestions (accompanied by staff responses). One person indicated that s/he didn't like the smell of the library books and suggested the staff try sprinkling a little talcum powder in the books as a fix.

I believe the staff gave the idea a polite thumbs down.

If they had the smell of book as a perfume or candle I'd use it all day long!

I just love the smell of books old or new. The smell and the feel of books is why, although I use a Kindle, it will never take precedence over the real thing.

I love the scent of books! They smell so good! I really like smelling used books, which may be a little creepy, because they smell like their previous owners and then I can use my wild imagination to imagine who owned the book before I did :)

Yep, I love the smell of books too. A new book smells great, but the smell of old books and old bookstores is awesome. I distinctly remember the smell of new textbooks from school. They had a rather nasty smell that I didn't really like.

I'm extremely addicted to the smell of books, old and new. It's one reason why I like to keep books near me all the time. Even if I'm not reading them, the mere presence of books, and the smell they carry with them, evoke all the greatness within them. :)

It was also one of the things that made me realize how much of a bibliophile I am. The fact that there are other bibliophiles makes me feel as though I'm not alone in the world with my book quirks. I love it!
