Love the smell of a new book, especially the leather bound classics.

I love the smell of new books! But, I don't intentionally smell them :)

The smell of a new book is one of the best scents in the world. Yellowed, old books smell dusty to me!

OMG, I love the smell of books! Old, new really does not matter. One thing I do not like about some old books is if they were introduced or came from a smoky environment (same with clothes, I guess). That smell never really leaves. But just the smell of aging books...LOVE! In response to some of the others, I like to imagine the voyage a book has taken to get to where it is now. What did it see, encounter to get the smells and character marks it has. This is with I reason, if the book is not in reasonable condition, then I have to wonder who abused that book.

Man rereading this post, it sounds like I am crazy....taking about books like people or animals. Oh well, I have come to terms with this level of crazy! :-)

The smell of Chapters is one of my favourites in the world. The other day, I was reading and accidentally smelled a page, and then I couldn't stop. It reminded me of such good times.

My sister has always loved the smell of books and I will say the feel, and yes smell, of books are the things I miss most about books not on my kindle.

That's another one of the advantages of actual books vs. ebooks. You can't touch or smell new books with ebooks. I love the feel and smell of a new book. I don't think I could ever get tired of that.

Absolutely love it. As others have said, I'm pretty attached my e-reader but it will never be the same experience as opening up a book. New or old, there's something fantastically evocative about both smells.

I love the smell of books.I sometimes think it's becouse of haven books read to me by a loved one as a child. Many hours coloring in coloring books and drawing. All the time spent in school as we grow up,it all has the smell of paper and books in it.Also books are made from paper and paper from wood,it's the smell of earth and nature where we are connected.

I love cracking open new books that have never been opened before (and hearing the stiff cracking) and smelling the pages. It smells sooo good! Likewise, I also love opening old books that haven't been opened in years, and smelling them as well. Both have amazing smells, but of course, both are completely different.
You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.

I knew a kid in elementary school who could guess the year of the book based on its smell. It was amazing. Anyways, yes I shamelessly admit that I love the smell of books. Especially old ones.

I love going into bookstores because of the smell of the books. It is pretty original and you don't find it anywhere else.
