One evening my son asked me which is the book I read for the first time in my life? And then I tried to answer him that question :). For you which was the first book you have read?

Really can't remember, don't even remember learning to read! My favourite book when a young child though, was a Ladybird book called Ned the Lonely Donkey

The first books I have strong memories of are the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, and the Borrowers series, by Mary Norton. Loved them.

I believe it was one of the famous five books when I was in fifth grade but the book that really got me into reading was "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."

hmmm, I'm not sure, but It was probably "The Children of Noisy Village" ("Six Bullerby Children"), and I was six.

Wow, good to know that you started reading at a young age of six. I started reading only recently as a habit.

really? I started reading when I was 7. My mother made what she could to be sure I'll read a lot. Reading is important to her :)

I am not 100% sure but I think it may have been "20000 leagues under the sea". I was a little kid and It was given to me for my birthday. I really enjoyed it. :)

I was never read to by my parents. They don't like reading themselves. I was not an avid reader when I was a child.

What got me into reading was Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. The book was amazing, having picked it up after I finished playing the computer games, and made me bought a few more mystery books. I must be about 12 years old by then.
