At what age did you realise reading was favorite hobby?

I knew, from a young age, that reading was my favorite hobby. I enjoy being around books and having books to hold and smell. I remember reading the Dick and Jane readers when I was in first grade.

It had to be at an age before I remember, because I have ALWAYS loved to read. I remember loving to read at 5 years old. So I must have fallen in love with it at an earlier age that I do not have a specific recollection of. My mother said I never put down books as soon as I was introduced to them, so I guess it was as early as my toddler years, but I can remember distinctly being in 2nd grade at age 7 when I could not keep out of the library!
