I often either dream I am a character in the book I'm reading, or my dream and the story merge. It can be quite interesting :)

I dream from time to time about the books I read - but very seldom. I have to be really much drowned into the story to dream about it.

I have two kind of dreams about books:

1. Kind of dream-flashes, it's no deep sleep, and flashes of the story come to my mind, until I wake up from the dreams which seem to come just one after another. This happens usually when I am so so much into a book that I cannot sleep for more than 4 hours, no matter how tired I am - I just have to go back to reading.

2. A storyline from the book enters my dream - but my mind twists it somehow and when I wake up I recognize aspects of the book I read, but it's a total different story now. This happens when I got influenced on a deep level by the story or the emotions of the book.

What? I have watched porn before bed but havent dreamed about it at all! My dreams seem to be the standard fare of work, life and the countries i have visited, nothing too strange. I dont think there is a connection between activity before bed and your dreams, to be honest..
Huh, interesting. I took this connection for granted, but now I think it might have to do something with me being a man of 22 - those tend to see sex anywhere I guess.

Maybe it could become a great test of maturity. You know, run porn, measure dreams and decide - horny punk / adult man.
That might have a thing or two to do with it :)

Good experiment! And if you discover you are thinking of porn when awake and asleep thats the time to start reading more books to push them thoughts out of your mind :D

Hmm, I know couple of books that in this case wouldn't help :P

On topic: I rarely have dreams and if I do, they're bad  No book characters appear there.

Last night I had quite a vivid dream about the book I was reading. I was hanging out with the characters having a grand time!

I do have dreams that merge parts of books I am reading and life events. One book I recently read, had a lot of scenes with people eating. I kept dreaming I was out of food and argued for more with these weird characters. The dream was super weird.

I don't think I have ever dreamed about a book...however I will say if I do something enough, say play a zombie game like Resident Evil Resurrection 2 with my husband I will start to dream about a post-apocalyptic world with zombies. ;)

Interesting question. I don't think I have ever dreamed about books. Usually I just dream that I am trying to find a bathroom. 8)

No, but sometimes I dream about fictional characters in my favorite books.

Snort. That's never a good sign. I always dream that I find a bathroom, but it's filthy and the toilets are out together instead of in private stalls, and so are the showers. And I either need to use the toilet or take a shower, but I don't want to do either because I can't find any privacy.

This has happened too! But when I find the bathroom, it's usually out of toilet paper or clogged up or something else that prevents me from using it. Sometimes there are a bunch of people hanging around, and I just don't want everyone listening to me pee.

Yeah! That's it! And the bathroom is always dingy, with grayish green walls and a depressing atmosphere...

On the other hand, if you find a pristine bathroom in your dream, and you use it, you might regret that upon awakening.
