No they have to stay where I can see them & run my hand along the spines as I pass through the room ... and stop for a chat while doing the dusting.
I know ... I probably do need treatment :P
No you donl't need treatment, I am exactly the same, I have to read next to all my other books I dust them and talk to them, let them out of the shelf for a little run around. Hang on a minute, I think I need treatment. :D

Gannon ... do you think would we qualify for group discount?
Lol :) I don't think so because I think the group would only be you and I. I can't see anyone else being as (bad?) as us. I think we may be a lost cause. Sorry I have to go, one of my books has fallen of the shelf, hope he is ok . :D

I only have 1 rectangle of a bookshelf to put my books in my room, and the rest that didn't fit are like..scattered in different corners (some under my bed, others in my cabinet, etc) I have about...500 books if I count the comics.

I seriously wish that I'd have those wall shelf thingys. Those seem to save on space. Though kinda dangerous when there's an earthquake and stuff.

I have four 7 foot shelves with books, before i moved into a smaller house I got rid of about 10 boxes of books that I didnt have room for. I also have about 8000 e books but I put them on a drive stick and I can put that in a coffee cup. Not a storage problem.

That's a real problem for me, I mean to get profitable book shelves, because I had book everywhere, even in my bathroom. And to tell the truth I have no idea how to make in order. But this summer I plan to make a big locker or may be organize the whole room for it 8) .

I was drooling over the Bookshelf Porn link. If this house wasn't in such dreadful shape I'd have custom bookshelves put into the whole living room and dining room. Unfortunately we have water leaks in the ceiling and a working fireplace. That means no shelves where there is the slightest chance of moisture and they need to be a distance from the fireplace so there isn't heat or smoke damage.

Mostly it's about culling and rotating, the shelves in the hallway are stackable. I could order another set and take the height up another five feet eventually. In fact probably before the holidays...running out of space again

I have 3 large bookshelves! I saved up and bought myself a kinde as my house is getting too small for my growing book collection! The kindle is great but isn't the same as having a new book in your hands.

I have a small bookcase with 3 shelves. I only own about 80 books at the moment, because I got rid of all my childhood and teenage ones. But this case is now full, so I'm going to get my husband to put up some shelves from ceiling to floor.
