Even as I type this now, I'm laying down in bed typing. But often times, while reading, I lay on my back to read. I use this method especially if I'm feeling sleepy. But when I want to be serious, I sit up.

If its a reading that will guarantee immediate results, I suggest sitting up is the best. While sitting up, a deeper understanding of the book is possible unlike the other condition where you lay down to read.

I always have that habit of laying down and reading. I don't know why, but I believe it is associated with that aspect of reading as being a solitary process. So by way of laying down and reading gives that space and enables one to concentrate.

There’s no best position to reading a book. For me I can read anyway, sitting, standing, on my bed, as long as the book is interesting you are good to go. You wouldn’t mind reading on the bed or walking and reading.

It is still best to read the book while sitting up. Take note that you must have a good posture, not hunchback or anything to not hurt your back. When I'm laying down, the book seems to knock me down to sleep :D

I LOVE laying down to read :D unfortunately, my arms fall asleep a lot which makes me keep adjusting my position. Still, it's always been more comfortable than reading any other way for me.

I prefer reading while laying down. Especially at night when no one will distract me since everyone is asleep.

I sit when reading for tests but I lay down when reading for fun or extra knowledge.

I highly doubt that the position from which you read will affect you in any way. I think if the read captivates you, there is nothing that could possibly bother you at that moment.

I mostly read when I'm fitted but in a relaxed position. Lying down makes me sleepy.

Sitting up for me ! Reading while lying down unfortunately makes me fall asleep, which is why it's an activity I like to do while waiting for sleep to get to me as well

My most comfortable reading position is between sitting and lying. Like those pool chairs at resorts.
