Although I enjoy new books there is just something about reading a second hand book that is well worn and loved.

I always like a book to be in good condition, this is partly why I find it hard to lend out books because they hardly come back in good condition evem though my books still show that I've read them

Book condition is not at all important to me as long as the book has all the pages and it doesn't smell bad.

The book's condition is important to me because I don't want to read overly used books. I love new books and the new book smell.

I really don't care if the book is old and beat up, what I care is the content; that's why several of the books I have in my library are second-hand books. I have bought some of them from a guy that sometimes goes to the National University. Even though the books he sells are worn, students surround him to check what "new" book he brought to buy them. I'm not the exception!

I love buying used books, not only because of the cheaper price, but also because they have history. That being said, having new books, or books that still look new is pretty great, especially my favourite ones.

As long as the pages aren't literally falling out of the book or covered with some spillage that makes reading difficult, I do not mind a well-used book that may be a little worse for wear. I prefer a good condition though and look after my books so that they remain in as good a condition as possible.

I love used books. All that matters is that the book should be in a readable condition.

When I started reading, the book quality used to be the important thing for me. But, gradually I started accepting books at least in good condition if not new.

A book's condition is what keeps it appealing
That is why one should be careful not to spill on it. Any old books should be handled with care. Even new books should be handled with great care as well.

I prefer to buy a book in good condition. It just isn't the same as reading a book that is falling apart. I suppose the quality of the book's contents is not affected, but there is something special about the smell of a new book.

Of course, because I prefer books that are neat. It's comfortable to read when the book is in a good condition.

I wouldn't buy a book in a bad condition. There are several used book still in good shape. I would rather buy those.

Yes. As long as pages are not coming apart, I don't mind a well-worn book. If the pages are coming apart my first focus will be on repairing the book and not on reading it.
