More often than not just for pleasure, there have been times though I have read for guidance and learning purposes.

I love stories, give me something to think and ponder about. It also relaxes me. There are some books I read because I have heard a lot about them. Being a Literature graduate, I can never finish a book and not critically appreciate it. I love doing that.

There is some down time at my work, and I found reading helps the time go by.

Escapism. Sometimes problems gets unbearable and I usually found answers when I'm reading. It soothe me. Sometimes I read just to be entertained.

I read simply because I love to.

First, I love reading! I also love writing, so I gather ideas, I see how characters are built, how the plot is developed, how is it written, the style, the language - everything! Another reason is my need to escape reality because of the responsibilities that keep piling up thanks to Uni and stuff. So far I have managed to realise that the best way to become a good writer is to read and read even more and see what you like, what you don't, how to use certain techniques and to also have fun doing it, because writing is above all an art and you can't force it - you need to be inspired. And what better to inspire you than other writers whose characters you grow to love and whose worlds you so badly want to live in.

I read books for many different reasons, but the main one is that I sometimes get really bored with my own life. I like reading to live vicariously through the characters and imagine the crazy world they are living in. It passes the time nicely and I just love reading.

Either for enjoyment or for school really. What's even better is when a particularly good book gets assigned for school :)

The reasons would really go on and on and on. But the main reason is to just leave reality and go into a world that you can let your imagination run wild.

A great deal of reasons but the main reason, is the escape! I can get away, and be someone else when I need to be. I want to go to Mars, I can do it, I want to go to Camelot, I can do it. I want to visit Westeros, I can do it! That is the main reason I read.

I read a book mainly because of the blurb... however the title and the image on the book is what draws me in initially. I also look at reviews but I don't always take them on board!

I read a book to be informed, I learn new words while reading and to be entertained. It's such a beauty to read.
