I read pretty fast but I can't guess how fast in minutes or hours.

Depends on the language used. The Dog Stars, written in a simplistic and frank style, I devoured at a pace of less than two minutes per page; with period pieces like Twelve Years a Slave or Pride and Prejudice, I take a page in double that time for a chapter or so before I get into the swing of the writing.

I'm probably a little on the slower side for reading. I like to visualize what's going on, if it doesn't come right away I'll read a part over again.

Staples (.com) has a test where you can calculate your reading speed. According to that I read about 860 words per minute. I can usually finish a 200 page book in a day, but really, it all depends on how engrossed I am in a book and how much time I can devote in a day to reading.

I think it all depends for me. If I have all the time in the world, and the book interests me to the max, I could probably finish a book in half a day to a full day.. If the book hasn't captured me as much as I thought it would; it usually takes me about a couple of weeks. That is just depending on if I actually finish the book. So for me, it all depends on the book. That will determine the speed of my reading.

I generally take about 2 minutes to read a page. Is this speed slow? I also understand the content in it.

My husband takes more time, so I am not sure if I am fast or he is slow or any other thing.

Depending on how big the book is and how good it is it usually takes me a day or two to finish a book.

Fast - I average 5 books a week. I like really long books so they last a bit longer.

It really depends on whether or not I am interested. If I truly love a book, then it would take me 2-3 days to finish it. If it is a book I'm not very interested in, then perhaps 5 days or longer.

I read very quickly, I can finish a book easily in a few hours - if only I was able to rea non stop with no breaks! Too bad I get restless and have to move around.

I read the last three Harry Potter books in about 12 - 15 hours (that's consecutively, with my meals and drinks being delivered to me, and only the briefest of breaks for essentials!!)

It really depends on the book and my mood. I recently read A Walk Across the Sun (Addison) in one day, such a great book and a fast read, for me anyways. But I'd love to re-read it soon.
