I can't agree more. They hate a book without reading it.

It’s a bit weird to hate books. I mean, they are just objects. If you don’t like them, then don’t read them.

I dont know. Any prejudice can easily be annoying. But if there is some psychological reason maybe, then it may not be so bad. And of course it is about how much it reflects on daily life.

Hate is kind of a harsh word, Ive known people who dont like to read anything more then comic books or the sports page in a newspaper, and some people who never read anything at all. I dont think they hate books, they just dont like to read. My boys are like that, they never read anything. But thats their business, it dosent matter to me.

Maybe they don't hate books, maybe they don't read books because they have never been exposed to the right book for them. It's a two-way street, listen to their passion just as you would hope they listen to yours.

I’ve known people who didn’t particularly enjoy reading, which is such a shame, but I’ve never known anybody to say that they actually hate books. I think people who don’t like to read just haven’t found the right book and it’s so sad that they’re missing out on one of the world’s most wonderful gifts.

I think it's more about feeling pity on them. I live among people who don't like books, and I feel sorry for those who don't understand the beautiful feeling of reading. Indonesia has a low literacy rate, and I'm quite concerned about people who are economically capable but unwilling to read. They trust YouTube videos and TikTok more than books, what a shame.
