Yeah my family stepped back from buying it because of the previous explosions. I think I might buy it when I move out though.

I have never heard of pressure cooker exploding. I have used a pressure cooker which isn't electric and I never faced any issues all my life. It cooks well. You can even bake a cake in pressure cooker.

I've never used a pressure cooker, but since there are new safer versions on the market today, I am curious to learn more about them and maybe try it out.

Indian women cannot live without pressure cooker. It is a part and parcel of our life. I use it daily to cook Dal and veggies. But I always hover around till it's done.

Yes, I've used a pressure cooker. It saves me a lot of time especially when I soften meat for soups and stews. Just like @Chitra Ayengar, I also hover around preparing other things in the kitchen until it's done.

Yes, I use it to cook beans a lot. I don't use it for much else to be honest.

I have a pressure cooker that I use on my electric glass-top stove. It is the tallest cooker so you can put 16 pints in it. The rubber gasket has to be oiled once a year to keep it pliable. And the place that the steam comes out of on the lid, has to be kept clean and open. The only worry I have is to not to move the cooker and scratch the glass- top of the stove. When I take a full cooker off the burner, it is so heavy and so high, I stand on a chair to pick it up and move over on the wood board on the counter.

I totally agree! Electric pressure cookers are game-changers in the kitchen. The newer models are so much safer than the older ones, and I love how quickly you can make delicious meals with them. They can really cut down cooking time, and the variety of dishes you can make is impressive, from soups to stews and even desserts. I also find the flavors are more concentrated compared to slow cookers. What are some of your favorite things to cook with yours?

I completely agree! I also have an electric pressure cooker, and it’s been a game-changer in my kitchen. The newer models are so much safer and incredibly versatile. They’re great for cooking quick, flavorful meals that would usua :D lly take hours in a slow cooker. I love how I can make everything from soups and stews to more complex dishes like risottos or braised meats in a fraction of the time. Do you have any favorite recipes you’ve tried with yours?

I only ever used one once to make a spiked apple cider drink. I’ve always wanted to try it for regular cooking though but can’t find a recipe that I want to try it with just yet. Any recommendations?

I do not believe I have! I have not heard a lot about it. I have heard the name before! I am not sure what to cook in it.

I have used a pressure cooker before; it is efficient when cooking meals. Just use it cautiously.
