I am a hopeless cook. When I am inside the kitchen, vessels fly and vegetables tumble. If there were any passed down family recipes in my family, it won't be passed down to me.

Yes, my mother-in-law's enchilada recipe. My father-in-law was raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, and our family tradition is to have enchiladas on Christmas Eve. My husband is the youngest of eight children and there are now twenty-one grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. When we get together it is always a party! I first was given the 'In-law" recipe . . . but later graduated to the real thing. They are delicious, and it wouldn't be Christmas without them.

Yes, only 2 to my knowledge, one which is for biscuits, made with mashed potatoes in the mix that also has to be left to rise overnight.

Recipes of great great grandparents are usually passed down in most families in my area.

Nothing written down but I learned to cook from my mother who learned to cook from hers etc. But I always tweak recipes to make them better or more my taste.
