OMG really? I wonder how participants have fared.juliamenez wrote: ↑16 Jul 2018, 09:47 Has anyone ever heard of the Gaston Challenge? It involves eating five dozen eggs in a day. I can't imagine this is healthy, unless maybe you are in desperate need of protein.
I have grown to like eggs as well but try not to eat them every day. BF thinks it's not healthy for him with his high cholesterol and he's diabetic too. We do eat meat every day so we don't need to eat so many eggs I think. But I'm going to have some later today! (didn't have any yesterday). Can't do without my bacon and egg breakfasts once in a while.

It seems like trend dieticians and the news media love to cast doubt on this, but I think eggs are a healthy daily food as long as one isn't consuming them at Gaston-esque levels and they are part of a healthy diet. I have the book "Egg: A Culinary Exploration of the World's Most Versatile Ingredient" by Michael Ruhlman on my bookshelf but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet....elliebelle2018 wrote: ↑04 Jun 2018, 02:02 im a real fan of eggs.
i cant live without eggs in a day. scrambled eggs, well done, omellete and pouch eggs. name it and i love it all of them
sometimes i have three for a day.
though im not sure enough if its healthy to eat it everyday.
do you think eating eggs a day is healthy?

Yes, this! Its perfectly fine to eat an egg or multiple a day.AL-JWP wrote: ↑08 Jul 2018, 14:53 Eggs got a bad rap in the past, but no more. People who ate an egg a day have an 18% lesser chance of dying of cardiovascular events. Turns out eggs are very good for us. Other studies show a couple of eggs a day is just fine. See 'Associations of egg consumption with cardiovascular disease in a cohort study of 0.5 million Chinese adults' in BMJ.
