Moderation is what I believe in too. Regular exercise of some sort and eating home-cooked food whenever possible.

I think exercise is a must, even if someone is dieting rigourously.

I really think that just taking half an hour a week to look at what you're eating and PLAN for the next week does wonders. Do you usually eat tacos? Maybe try low-carb tacos. Eating meat every day? Maybe try a vegetarian meal once a week. When people start "dieting" they usually try to eat in a way that isn't sustainable for long periods of time. The easiest way is making one healthy substitution a week, and seeing where that takes you. Maybe take a walk around your neighborhood? Eat an apple? Focus on what you currently do, and see how that can be adapted to healthier foods and you will feel healthier, no crazy diets or gym schedules needed.

:banana-jumprope: :banana-jumprope: Life becomes so busy at times. I think it really depends on your lifestyle. Dieting may be more convenient versus exercising.

I however believe that life is a balance so both are necessary.

I agree that dieting and exercise have to be done together to get the best results. If I were to choose one over the other, though, I would choose exercise. It's easier for me to do and stick to because I actually like running. I'm also a picky eater, which makes going the diet route even harder. However, I don't think anyone should be doing extreme dieting/exercise. In the end, that's just as unhealthy for your body.

Dieting works wonders and I will prefer it to exercise any day but exercising comes in handy once you start loosing weight but the body structure does not March your age.

I know it may seem unrealistic for some, but definitely a combination of both healthy diet and daily exercise is ideal. Even just going for a walk counts! Diet really is the most important though, if you're only able to focus on one. "You can't outrun a bad diet" -unknown

I by far prefer exercise but my unfortunate reality is someday I will have to do both :cry2: . Still coming to terms with that reality.

I would love dieting and exercising. With my surgeries over the years and being bed bound from recovering from surgeries. Its hard to find that drive. Can anyone help me to find great foods that can keep me full and energetic at the same time.

Definitely both diet and exercise play important roles. Exercise for fitness. Diet for weight control. Both work together to ensure your overall health.

These days people have become so busy that they don't pay much attention towards their health. They are getting fat as a result. Some people do extreme diet to lose weight and sone opt for heavy exercises. According to me there should be a balance of both diet and exercise.
What do you think about this?
I definitely agree with you. There does need to be a combination.
Eating clean all the time can drive me crazy and exercising excessively can drive me crazy too.
In combination, results would be effective and the journey would be enjoyable.

Honestly... None. I like to eat my junks and I also love to deceive myself with the usual "exercise isn't my thing" (just because I'm lazy). But this is real life hey😁. I think for the sake of health, I try to do both from time to time. Balance is however, the ultimate.
