You can ask over 50 people in different states in Nigeria what they had for lunch for the day. I'm pretty sure it's RICE. However they're other staple food like yam, beans, and tomato sauce (stew) that Nigerians consume on a daily basis.

The staple food in Nigeria is garri and soup. The soup can be Egusi, ogbono, okro bitter leaf, owo soup, and many more. We usually cook our soup with beef, chicken, goat meat and most times have a mix of these in one pot.

I’m from Australia and we have Vegemite toast (only a thin layer of Vegemite unless you’re used to it), fairy bread (normal bread with butter on top and covered in 100’s & 1000’s) or meat pies which you either put in the microwave or oven depending on if you want them crunchy or not. oh there’s also pavlova which you normally buy the merengue from the store and put whipped cream and fruit or chocolate on top

I am from Kenya. Our staple food is maize. However different tribes have different sub staple foods used to identify them. :lol2:
