Glad to see a lot of people making their own dressings! Since I learned how to make my own dressing, I no longer buy it from the store. It's so much healthier and fresher tasting than store bought anyway.

I don't want chemicals in my food either. My new favorite go-to homemade dressing is a honey mustard dressing I came up with. The ingredients are- real mayonnaise, mustard, honey, and olive oil. Sorry, I'm not big on measuring. I generally add the ingredients to taste. I like it sweet and tangy. If you skip the olive oil, this also makes an awesome dip for chicken strips, French fries, onion rings, etc.

I think the easiest salad dressings to make is vinaigrette. I love using the local maple syrup to make Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Ingredients:
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
½ Tablespoon mustard (honey or Dijon)
A pinch sea salt

Just put it in a jar, shake well and then serve!

I prefer to make my own dressings. I love a honey base as it glues all the flavours. I don't use too much honey so the taste isn't drowned out.
