Best ever carrots... BUUUUT...

Recently I have been introduced to the best honey garlic carrot recipe. The. Best. It in a brown butter base, and this was my first time making “brown butter.”

So my problem was...after I browned the butter, per the instructions, I was to add 2 cloves minced garlic and as I did, they immediately charred in the butter.

Is there a trick to garlic? I think maybe next time I’ll try removing from heat before adding garlic, but if there are any garlic experts out there, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

1. Maybe you can lower the heat then add the garlic since minced garlic burns easily.
2. You can add it as soon as the butter turns brown and swirl/stir at the same time which means you have to be present beside the pot/pan at all times and be alert.
3.Or your suggestion of removing from heat and adding the garlic would work too, let the after heat cook the garlic.
4. Never cook at high heat.
Good luck!!!

Thanks! I didn’t realize garlic burns so easily. I am not even joking, it basically turned to ash as it entered the butter haha

I love garlic raw so if it's a little undercooked it never bothers me- I would brown the butter, take it off the heat, then immediately add the minced garlic. It sounds like a delicious way to do carrots!
