I agree with you 100%. That is why mac and cheese is my favorite. My grandmother and I ate it often when I visited her, and I always helped her make it. It is a dish I usually make for my husband and me.Michael Brown 21 wrote: ↑03 May 2023, 07:32 But it's not just the taste that makes cake such a beloved comfort food - it's also the memories and associations that come with it.

I feel that too. It transported me to a time when Sunday dinners were a special time with your family. Even some holiday dinners that only happened annually. One dessert we would only get at Christmas was my grandmother's homemade coffee cake. That recipe alone brings back so many memories and is still one of my treasured possessions.Michael Brown 21 wrote: ↑03 May 2023, 07:38 The smell of fresh-baked cake can transport us back to a simpler time, reminding us of the love and warmth of our childhood.

Cooking is a great stress reliever for me. If I am thinking about the difficulty level of a dish, I get high anxiety. Once I touch food and my cooking tools, I feel better.Michael Brown 21 wrote: ↑03 May 2023, 07:29 It's a moment of pure indulgence, a break from the stresses of everyday life.
