Have you tried a new food or beverage recently?

Post by ActiveDreamer »

This whole quarantine mess has gotten me trying new foods and drinks. Have you tried any new foods/drinks recently? How did it taste? Any recommendations? I recently boiled craw fish with my family. The meat itself was delicious, but the process of breaking the corpse to get to the meat took a while to get used to. Especially if you accidentally caught a glimpse into their eyes. Any of you ever tried craw fish?

I’ve never tried craw fish before but this quarantine certainly has meant that I have tried plenty of delicacies that I need to whip up myself at home from the simplest homemade bread to delicious cheesecakes.

I recently tried sushi on a cruise ship. I am not sure why I haven't tried it earlier but I absolutely loved it and suggest everyone should try it.

I tried Sharon fruit (persimmon) for the first time recently. I had to google whether I should peel them or not! I liked them when they were ripe and juicy, not so much when they were crisp and slightly under-ripe.

I have tried pastete, it is a paste-like textured minced pig organs. It was not bad, but I am not a fan of it.
