Have you tried a new food or beverage recently?

This whole quarantine mess has gotten me trying new foods and drinks. Have you tried any new foods/drinks recently? How did it taste? Any recommendations? I recently boiled craw fish with my family. The meat itself was delicious, but the process of breaking the corpse to get to the meat took a while to get used to. Especially if you accidentally caught a glimpse into their eyes. Any of you ever tried craw fish?

I’ve never tried craw fish before but this quarantine certainly has meant that I have tried plenty of delicacies that I need to whip up myself at home from the simplest homemade bread to delicious cheesecakes.

I recently tried sushi on a cruise ship. I am not sure why I haven't tried it earlier but I absolutely loved it and suggest everyone should try it.

I tried Sharon fruit (persimmon) for the first time recently. I had to google whether I should peel them or not! I liked them when they were ripe and juicy, not so much when they were crisp and slightly under-ripe.

I have tried pastete, it is a paste-like textured minced pig organs. It was not bad, but I am not a fan of it.

I tried a new kind of chocolate. It is delicious! It is dark chocolate. I plan on buying it more often. I may buy a few for my family.

I eat some wild fruits, very sweet. I have forgotten the local name of the fruit, but not the taste. :D

I tried baklava for the first time recently, one of my coworkers brought it back from Turkey. I also tried an Eastern European chocolate that had cheese as a filling. Both were very good!

I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food, so I'll try almost anything in front of me.

I haven't tried a new food recently but I would like to. I sometimes try recipe variations of things I know I love, but I'm not super adventurous with food. If I'm at a restaurant ill try something new that sounds good but I would rarely do it day to day. Sometimes I will cook something new because it seems easy and delicious, but that is not something I've done recently

I love Baklava, it catches me so off guard every time though because I dont think it LOOKS super appetizing and it's always DELICIOUS. My aunt from Lebanon would make some and bring it over as I was growing up and small-uncultured autumn would be like "you're trying to tell me this brown bread thing is a dessert" but she was definitely correct and it was the best dessert lol, I would BEG for her homemade baklava after that.

I recently tried macadamia nuts for the first time, and they're delicious! I'll definitely be adding them to my rotation of nuts.
