Sometimes, I keep up with the rules, most times, I drink less and often, I drink more than 8 cups.

I break this rule, and normally prefer to drink water just when I'm thirsty, not because someone tells me to drink 8 glasses of water. I know there are great benefits from staying hydrated, but somehow it feels not natural to force water consumption when not thirsty.

I take this rule seriously, I keep track of my water bottles, and I don't have to be thirsty to drink water.

I enjoy drinking water but I still have trouble drinking 8 glasses. I keep cold water in the fridge at all times. I also have a big Hydro Flask that I fill up for when I am on the go.

I have a bottle that has a capacity of 1 liter. And I usually fill it two or three times a day. So, yes when I am at home I do drink from my bottle. But, when I am out I don't maintain my water intake like I do at home because it's inconvenient to find bathroom outside.

Same, I keep cold water in the fridge because cold water makes you thirsty while hot water does not. Since, hot water quenches thirst for a longer period of time, it's kind of dangerous because you forget to hydrate. But, it's always better to drink room temperature water ahaha. Not that I follow anyways, I drink ice cold no matter what season.

When I am intentional I find myself meeting that requirement. If I drink that much water I find creative ways to pump up the flavor such as add mint, cucumber, lemon, fruit, etc. As a result of doing so, I find myself having more energy and eating healthier.

So you just cut up some lemon slices and add it to the water? Does it work? Like, does the water taste different?

I meet and even exceed the rule! But I feel like it doesn't help much apart from your skin. Your skin will thank you. Your bladder? Not so much.

I do try but honestly I rarely adhere to it. When indoors I try to drink as much water as possible

That's what it should be, the only issue is that I always forget about it on busy days only to remember late in the night when it's to late.
