'8 GLASSES OF WATER PER DAY' RULE

It is adviced that one needs to drink 8 glasses of water daily to be healthy by the doctor. Do you meet the rule or break it? I find it hard to keep it and I even rarely keep track of the glasses I gobble up

Unless I force myself to, I find it increasingly difficult to count and drink eight glasses a day. I would say the maximum that I drink would probably be around three or four glasses, which is half of what doctors expect.

You're supposed to drink half of your body weight in ounces. For example, I weigh 148 pounds, so half of that in ounces is 74 ounces. I fill up two quart jars each day and make sure I drink them. It's a visual help instead of trying to constantly keep track of cups or glasses.

I normally remember this rule once in a while and try to adhere to it. Otherwise on most days I don't achieve the target.

I'm almost 5 months pregnant and I STILL have problems following this rule. It's been inconvenient and impractical for me for the last few years because I'm a teacher. We definitely don't get to leave to go to the bathroom whenever we need to.

I saw a formula for calculating how much water you need (can't remember from where)

1. Divide weight (in lbs) by 2.2
2. Multiply by age (if over 30, multiply by 30)
3. Divde that by 28.3
4. Divde that by 8 to get number of cups

I feel like this formula is more accurate to each person than a general 8 cups for everyone, so I've been trying to follow this.

Might sound weird, but I like the taste of water. (I know people say water is tasteless but still). I can easily drink up 8-10 glasses everyday.
Infusing water with veggies and fruits makes it even better.

No. I can't. I can barely drink 4 glass of water daily.

I have repeatedly seen or heard an easier rule, and that is to divide your weight in ounces by 2. Either way, I have a difficult time usually getting in the recommended amount just because I'm out and about so much and don't want to be bothered with having to find bathrooms at the most inconvenient times.

I try to drink this much everyday, but it just seems too much. When I exercise, drinking the amount of water is easy as I am parched.

Actually, since I try to eat little amount of food per day, I have a 4 litre bottle I fill with water and I try to finish everyday.

Wasn't that big on drinking water but recently tried to drink 3.5 litres every day. Safe to say it was hard but the results my skin showed were glorious. Sticking to this rule for as long as I live.

I tend to drink more, because my skin and eyes become dry easily. I generally monitor my water intake by how much it hurts to blink or smile from day to day, haha.

I try to, when I'm at home. It becomes difficult if I spend a day out, because I can't bring with me so much water and of course, there aren't always toilets I can go to.
