I have always known this, but I have never paid so much attention to it. I think I will start keeping done candy for those times when I feel like my energy has been sapped.Bigwig1973 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2020, 01:02 Sugar from sweets is, as far as I know, easily converted to useful energy by the body. Some people, I've heard, tend to feel stressed when they get too much sugar so you are fortunate that you don't react that way! I'm not sure why else sweets would cause you to be in a better mood or what medically or scientifically is going on in your brain to make you happier, but you are probably not the only person. I think that is why they recommend keeping candy bars or candy in emergency kits - not to keep you happy, but to keep your energy levels up so I assume it's pretty common.
