Coffee! It just boosts my mood and brain efficiency with coffee in my blood stream. I could be feeling blue out of nowhere and i'd know for sure that coffee will help me with that.

The kind of myths I heard about coffee while growing up made me indifferent towards coffee. I will always pick tea

I know that before I can really get myself going I always have to have a cup of coffee, and back in the day, a cigarette outside on my porch.
I don't smoke anymore, and recently ran out of coffee. After like...ONE sluggish morning I went to my cupboard and dug into a huge reserve of black tea that I never thought I'd use. I've been drinking it with a little whole milk every morning and afternoon since.

So give it to me onlinebookclub members. What's your favorite and what's your ritual before you settle in with a book or a pen, pad or laptop?
If it's coffee clue me in as to what blend. Milk. Sugar. Ignite the flavors in my imagination. I want to hear something that makes me want to go out and get a cup of that sweet sweet joe.

If it's Tea, tell me what kind. Caffeine or non. How many cups a day? What kind of mug? Where do you sit? Sunshine on the porch or snuggled in bed(it is winter after all)

We're all readers and writers.
Let's share our drinking problems with each other here.

I love tea & tisanes depending on the time of day. Coffee is definitely a special occasion beverage for me and my delicate nervous system. In the morning I drink a cup or two of matcha. My nervous system reacts to matcha like it would for a coffee drinker with their cup of joe. If it's a rainy, dreary, day I reach for my roasted cacao tea. It's like hot chocolate's older yet broody cousin. It has that deep yet stimulating bold chocolate flavor that gives you just enough caffeine to make you appreciate what's ahead in the day.

Now that spring is here I've been making hibiscus iced tea or 'agua de jamaica'. If I'm feeling a lil more frisky I'll add a lime and some probiotic orange soda. It's delicious especially when I read outside on my porch in th sun. :romance-heartsfade:

I love a big mug of coffee with lots of cream and sugar when I sit down to read, especially on a cold and rainy day.

Hopefully you are still connected to OnlineBookClub, I do realize this is quite an old thread. Tell me do you still drink tea or did you return to the bitter creamy love of coffee?
I personally like both but for different reasons. In the morning a nice strong blend with caramel or vanilla and cream, gives me the boost I need. Late at night when I'm settling down on the lounge a nice warm simple earl grey tea with milk is perfect, especially if paired with a nice biscuit 🍪 ☕❤️

Coffee has never appealed to me. I'm mostly a water drinker, but sometimes I make herbal tea. My favorite is Rooibos (red) with honey and lemon, no caffeine. I get enough caffeine from dark chocolate.

A cup of coffee in the morning and then green tea or some kind of herbal tea later in the day.

I'd say I really prefer taking tea to coffee. Tea while reading gives me a sense of relaxation.
