I am with a group that does Diamond Painting. I don't know if anyone has heard about it or has done the craft. It is a combination of cross-stitch and color by number. You use color-coded beads and affix them to your project which is also color-coded. It is very relaxing and colorful.
There are samples of diamond painting on the internet. When you are done you can frame your picture. Some people give them to family members or sell them.

I'm working on embroidering all my favourite book quotes on a shirt! It's turning out pretty good and I'm really enjoying it.

Trying to make a Harry Potter book nook, with basic card boards and no 3D printing. Failing miserably :D. But I will not give up until I make a presentable one.
