This one will be very cartoonish though, I'm not sure if that's to your liking.
A bindle is that little picnic blanket or hanky cloth tied to a stick used by runaways or 'hobos', as often depicted in cartoons.

I play Bolt Action with a group of friends which is a table top WW2 game with 28mm figures. I just finished painting up a US army a few weeks ago for a game we played last week.
The picture below is our table set up we used.

And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

The picture below was a turning point in the battle when my M18 Hellcat managed to get a clear flank shot at a King Tiger blowing it up.

That looks like an intense and very strategic hobby. Many of the people I know that have served in wartime with the US Military live with PTSD. As a person that lives with PTSD, I can see how recreations of actual events may be a helpful threrapy for those that have PTSD from wartime events.
Besides the table for your recreations being intricate and easy to imagine the story happenings, your family picture is lovely also.
Thank you for your service.

I am getting ready to create paper made from recycled junk mail, to turn into greeting cards, but with a twist. I am going to put some easy to grow seeds in the paper, so that the recipient can upcycle their card, and turn it into some lovely flowers and/or vegetables.
I am excited to see how they turn out!
