Crochet

Post by Melissa Katherine »

Who else crochets?

I recently picked up crocheting. I love to do it while watching tv or listening to an audiobook. Right now I'm working on creating my own pattern for a coffee cozy of Sam from the movie Trick R Treat.

What is everyone else crocheting? Any fun patterns to share?

How did you learn to crochet? I find it fascinating.

I crocher.

I'm currently trying to find a pattern that will work well with light yellow yarn. It's for my niece's graduation present (the party is in July so I have a little while still).

Do you know how to chrochet beads in to a pattern? It may be helpful to my item I have been working on for some time.

I picked up crocheting a few months ago but at the time I didn't have enough time or yarn to finish my project. Since then I've wanted to get back to it and am now waiting to pass my exams.

I enjoy knitting and crochet, but I prefer to knit as I find it's more versatile. The most complicated thing I made by crocheting was a summer top, but it didn't keep its shape when washed, so I unravelled it and made it into a blanket.

I absolutely adore crochet! Currently, I'm in the midst of a crochet project, working diligently to complete a cozy blanket. The rhythmic motion of the hook and the gradual progress are incredibly satisfying. It's a craft that allows me to unwind and create something beautiful.

I started crocheting a couple of years back. I find it super relaxing, to get my mind out of things and create cute things in the process. I mostly make plushies but I started making some clothing recently. I usually watched YouTube tutorials but now it is mostly by eye and memory. I hope to start knitting as well, eventualy. :-)

I am a crochet fiend! I learned when I was 9, from a next-door neighbor I stayed with after school until my parents got home from work. My first projects were a potholder, hat, scarf, and granny square vest. Most of my crocheting now is for gifts and for donation. It's what I do when I'm watching TV. Even though I've crocheted for years, I still follow patterns. Has anyone tried designing their own patterns?

Hi,
I started to crochet teaching myself from YouTube video's and I must say I am getting so much better at it. I have so far made a few tote bags and I am working on a baby blanket that needs to be completed before June of next year as I am expecting a niece or nephew by then.

I have never tried it, but keep seeing how people start mastering it.
