Growing up I never liked cooking,so one bothered teaching me how to cook.Now I have kids and I have to cook for them most of the time.i bought a few cook books and trust me when I say it made me a professional cook.

I don't think I prefer one or the other. I use both. Sometimes I like to go old fashioned and use a cookbook. Sometimes I have to look stuff online that might not have it in a cookbook. I like both equally.

I really enjoy looking for recipes online because I can choose ones with ingredients that I prefer, and I can make substitutions of some ingredients. I make note of what works and what doesn't work, so I will know what not to do the next time I try the recipe. This way I am sort of making my own cookbook.
