The first one I can remember is the little booklet that came with my Easy Bake Oven. Julia Child could have written that little book for all the focused attention I showered on it! :D I was a six year old gourmet chef using that baby!

Oh, and how many cookbooks? I'd say about 20.

My first cook book was a cook book for kids, my grandparents got it for me when I was young, it even came with colorful measuring spoons, and had recipes kids could make easily. The one I remember the most was one where you took orange slices, placed them in a bowl and put sugar on them, then put them in the fridge. I have about five cook books

My first cookbook was the betty crocker cookbook. I love cooking and collecting cookbooks and recipes. When my children left home, I gave each of them a homemade cookbook with their favorites childhood recipes in it along with photos and written memories of the family enjoying the recipes and all holiday menus with recipes. Each one was tailored to the child receiving it. I used a binder so that they could add to it with their families. It is my hope that it will be added to and passed down to each generation. I have over 100 actual cookbooks plus more on my Kindle.

My first cooking book was actually from 6th grade I think. I'd have to look it's been a while. But every student in the grade wrote down a recipe and the teachers put them together for us. That was at least 12 years ago now.

Also a huge thank you to your husband, (and you!), for his service.
