What is your favorite cookbook? Do you have a foolproof cookbook that has always given great results?

Veganomicon. By far my most "loved" cookbook. It has grease stains and cocoa powder dust all up and through it! I love it because the results for the things I make most often always come out right, the humorous writing and the explanation of less-well-known ingredients. The writers Isa and Chandra are also very down to earth. They know that lots of vegan cookbooks are pretentious and take little to no consideration of the average cook's ability to find/purchase specialty ingredients. If you are interested in vegan cooking, or just want to read a funny book about vegan cooking, I highly recommend this cookbook...4 out of 4 stars!

America's Test Kitchen has never steered me wrong. Their two gluten-free books are just the best!

I love the Betty Crocker website. I've made quite a few gluten free recipes using the gluten free bisquick, and so far I haven't been disappointed.

I have one that I really like called FAst Fixes with Mixes. All of the recipes start out with some sort of mix (a cake mix, taco seasoning, etc). Then you make a completely different recipe with that mix. I really like it because the recipes are easy to follow, and the food tastes great. Plus, most of the recipes don't take too long to prepare.

My favorite cook book is the Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book, 12th Edition. I have had it for years and use it many times a month. I am a southern girl and it has all of my favorites from fried chicken to monkey bread. I should purchase the latest edition but I just can't seem to part with this one. :D

Probably the Cooking Light series. I found about ten of them at a used book store, for around $2/piece. We tried a lot of new things from them as they were easy and relatively healthy.

I absolutely love Simply In Season. The recipes are organized by season and then by category, and they're all fairly easy to make, with simple, familiar ingredients. I don't think I've ever made something from that book that I didn't like.

Love America's Test Kitchen! I got their Soups, Stews and Chilis book as a gift and it has never let me down. Definitely my favorite cookbook.

I love how much detail and explanation they give about why things do or don't work. How much fun would it be to get paid to test out recipes like that? Working for them would be a dream! (A very fattening dream ;))

I have used The First Babyfood Cookbook for years and absolutely love the simple, but very tasty recipes! It even has bread recipes! And not one recipe says to boil the food, put in blender and put in baby's mouth!
