Coloring by numbers is very therapeutic and relaxing. I have jazz music playing as I color.

Thanks for your reply! I have never tried the color by number books, probably because I like to choose my own colors, but maybe someday I will try them. There are so many coloring books that look like a repeat of those that have come before, so I applaud you for choosing only the unique ones! I agree that coloring is therapeutic and relaxing. I love music but I don't think I have thought before to listen as I color. I feel relaxed just thinking about the two activities combined. What a wonderful idea that I will definitely try!lily-789 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2024, 16:13 I love coloring by number. I have three coloring books that I alternate when I want to color. If I see a coloring book in the store that is unique then I buy it. By unique I mean different designs other than flowers, animals, or wildlife.

Personally, I think adult coloring books are like little treasures, each one offering its own unique artistic journey. And yes, it’s easy to get carried away with wanting to buy more, even if I haven’t finished the ones I already have. I try to balance it by buying books that really resonate with me, even if it means not buying every single one that catches my eye.
When it comes to my favorite artists, I do have a few that I tend to follow closely, but I don’t buy every single release. I prefer to focus on quality over quantity and pick books that I feel I’ll really enjoy coloring—even if it means they sit on the shelf for a bit until I have time to dive in.
I think it’s all about finding joy in the process, whether you color slowly or don’t finish every page. And if you do end up with a bookshelf full of coloring books, there’s no shame in that—collecting them can be just as fun as coloring them!
