African dishes are very diverse. Even in the same country, it is easy to find very different flavors. I honestly feel like when it comes to flavor, African dishes are made with umami as their center.

I come from the coastal region of Mombasa and here our secret ingredient is coconut.we like almost anything that has coconut in it and my favourite food is coconut grilled fish.its a very tasty dish that you can have with rice, ugali or even a traditional bread known as ‘mofa’.u first have to mix coconut milk with a little bitof tamarind and turmeric and let it cook on medium until it thickens. Then grill the fish on both sides and when its ready pour the paste on the fish and grill for 1 minute then turn the other side, repeat the step.server while warm.
Thanks for this recipe. I will surely put it to a try when I have the time and resources to do so.

I'm from Nigeria, Eastern Nigeria to be precise. My favorite dish is the jollof rice. I also love my mother's vegetable soup.

I'm from Nigeria and our traditional dishes vary according to your tribe. But in my tribe our traditional dish is pounded yam and egusi soup
