If we're counting the the slightly disastrous cookie baking incident the one time my cousin was allowed to babysit, around age 7. 🤣

I can estimate it to be at the age of around 15. That's when I was the only big girl left in our home as my sister had gone to school.

Officially I started at 10 years old. I started hand copying every recipe I would see on tv, and then I tried to recreate them (I started with no cook - no bake desserts.) But eventually I started to look for more complicated options and then I even studied gastronomy in college. It's been an irregular path but to this date I can say I love cooking for my family. (that's why I haven't properly started a business)

I think I was about 9 when I cooked an entire meal for my family with supervision. I did cookies and things before hand with my mom, but that was the first time I was in charge. I burned my finger on a pot. I'm glad I learned so young.

I started cooking at the age of 8. For me, that was definitely something I love to do particularly if I can cook what I want my way without any supervision.

I learned how to do pancakes at 12. After that, the first real meal I learned how to cook was when I was 21 years old. Pretty old to learn how to cook.

My mom taught me to cook from a very young age. I don't remember how young, but I remember when I was about 5-6, I made a fruitcake for one of my toy dinos because I decided it was his birthday, and the only thing Mom wouldn't let me do was put the cake into the oven or take it out. Everything else was done by me and completely unsupervised. I grew up way out in the sticks and was born in the 80s, so families around our way were slightly more traditional when it came to such things. My best friend used to cook the Sunday roast for her entire family from the age of 8 :)

I don't remember the age but yes I remember I was in the third standard. And I made the first chai and Maggie. I stood on a stool and then I made everything. It was not that good. But it wasn't bad. I guess I was 7 or 8 years old. Today I make tea which drives everyone crazy. People come to my house especially for chai and pakodas

I started helping my Mom in the kitchen in middle school but didn't actually start cooking by myself until high school.
