Which is better for cooking vegetable? Half Cooked or Fully Cooked?

There are many Nutritionist normally advice cooking vegetables to a half cook only. Is it true that nutrients will be lessen for a fully cooked vegetables? What is your opinion?

Fully cooked improves our digestions and the absorption of nutrients many nutrients but some levels of minerals and vitamins may decrease.

I actually prefer a vegetable half cooked because it's more crunchy. I don't think there is anything worse than a soggy broccoli leaflet or brussel sprout.

Yes, too much cooking and boiling will probably decrease the nutrient value of veggies. And all fine restauraunts consider some fresh crunchiness to vegetables as essential.

I prepare half cook for me its better to eat crunchy and also the nutrients of the vegetables are still there..

Take a vitamin supplement pill daily and then eat your food the way you prefer.

Fully cooked veggies are kinda nauseating. Half cooked ones however, have this slightly hot, crunchy taste and are the best in my opinion.

To me I cook my vegetable fully as long I don't per boil it before I cook it so the nutrient is there because I cooked it with natural ingredients

Nutritional value aside, the texture may just come down to personal preference. I like slightly crunchy veg so I usually cook them to suit.

Vegetables have different strength.I prefer my vegetable half cooked in order to get the nutrients and taste i desire.

For most people that have normal to strong stomachs, half cooked veggies are just fine. The nutritional value of vegetables will stay put if you don't cook them fully, and keep them as close to "raw" as possible. Definitely also think it's better for taste for the end result - I think vegetables retain a unique taste when they're half-cooked.

It depends on what vegetables?for example: potatoes need to be full cook due to health purpose of the digestion then other vegetable which you can do half cook cause you still half the nutrition that you need.
