I loved the low carb diet when I was on it. I actually lost 10 kg and I am very proud of that. I kept that off by being consistent in the gym. When I was on it, I just took the list of what I cloud eat and started making food to see what I liked.

Chickpeas! Useful substitute for carbs in many recipes.

While you cut down on carbs, I hope you remember to replace the portion you’ve cut out with vegetable for example. Because reduced portion is not good for our intestines.

Personally, I don't think cutting out carbs is a good thing. Carbs provide the body with energy. Diets never work long-term. Being in a calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight and keep the weight off - by that, I don't mean eating 1200 calories a day, only that your calorie intake should be less than the energy you burn per day. Hope it makes sense!

I do not have any particular recipe but in my own experience drinking lots of water helps. Maybe you can incorporate drinking lots of water in your diet.

I'm on the low carb train as well. I'm border line diabetic so the doc says it's time to take being healthy seriously. I downloaded a pantry tracker app and it also helps with low carb recipes. It's called Cook list.

eabanda wrote: 17 Jan 2018, 02:57 Hi, I'm also trying to cut down on my carb intake for weight loss. I would recommend books based on a Keto style diet. They say no to carbs period, but I've found eating carbs one meal a day and keto the rest works for me. I like carbs too much to cut them out completely :D but I stick to whole grains and sweet potatoes when I do eat them.
Please do let us know if you find a book that is low carb
i have tried cutting carb of almost completely. though, am not really fat but i feel heavy.
