Yep! I'm Nigerian; my father is from Nigeria and my mother from Togo, so I've had my fair share of both Nigerian and Togolese meals. Every country in Africa has different styles of cooking and different staple foods, but in general, meals are nutritious and well balanced. They are typically designed to be able to last a person an entire day (as in you'd eat the meal in the morning and you'll be good to go all day until dinner when you may or may not eat a smaller meal before bed). Of course, most people would eat a solid 3 meals a day, but you could live off of one or two hefty meals a day.

My father-in-law is from Ghana and he made amazing food. His specialty was Froofroo (?). I prefer Jamaican food though.

I have eaten Somali food once. It was nice. It was a rice and meat dish. The rice had grated carrots in it.
I have also tasted food made by friends from Tunisia and Egypt, but perhaps their food is more influenced by Middle Eastern cooking.
I have also eaten pap, which is eaten often in South Africa. It was quite plain. However, if used as a base for a meal it would be nice.

What I would like to try is Jolof rice. From what I have heard of the description of it, sounds delicious.

I live in South Africa, but mostly eat Indian or Turkish foods.

I roommate made a african stew recently. She told me it is pretty authentic because she learned from her grandmother and it was really good.
