I LOVE portobello pizzas. You use the mushroom as the crust, put all the toppings in it, put a spoonfull of sauce on top of the toppings, and top with cheese. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes and enjoy.

My best advise is don't waste time counting calories and carbs, change your diet from the base with digestion as key element. Avoid hard to digest foods, portion control is a must whether you are vegan, vegitarian, or a meat eater. Change your cooking methods, avoid frying, if you must sautee use olive, palm or coconut oils. Steaming foods is a great thing to get into. If you eat out frequently, stop. Sugar, omg, it's in everything processed, avoid it. Buy only fresh items and prepare them carefully, with attention. Turn eating into something carefully done rather than a quick trip to the cabinet. If you drink soda, stop, and don't try replacing it with diet products, all research shows now is that the sugar substitutes CAUSE obesity and can lead to diabetes. Drink water, keep hydrated, alot of times we eat because we are actually thirsty and don't realize it. Sugar is a downright addictive substance and when you first cut back it is HARD. And most sugar used in processed foods comes from sugar beets which are full of the heavy metal cadmium. This metal builds up in our bodies over time leading to many diseases and also an inability to control weight. The sugar HAS GOT TO GO. Wheat too is overused, hard to digest, and the majority of wheat products contain many preservatives that are really no good to be in our bodies. Cultured foods can be a great addition for weight loss, yogurts, kefir, and kraut all can help restore the natural balance of gut bacteria leading to better digestion and thus a maintainable weight.

All that being said, zucchini parm is a great dish that fills you up and can be modified for vegan or meat eaters. Make your sauce fresh or find a good canned brand, you want something organic with little preservatives, read those labels, if you can not pronounce it, do not buy it. If you don't know what an ingredient is, look it up, something as simple as citric acid will throw you for a loop if you research it. If you eat meat you're going to be decreasing your portion sizes so you might as well spend more for carefully farmed meats, the cost will equal out and the taste difference alone is worth it. For the parm, if you don't eat dairy there are great almond based cheese substitutes out there to be found.

This sounds brilliant. Thank you for this idea! Can't wait to try it.

We have been using almond flour to make things. Like pizza crust, pancakes, and pie crust. It has worked great. And tastes good too.

Recently my whole family has tried the keto diet, meaning low carbs, and we have lost weight!
This diet mostly consists of low carb foods; a lot of meat, eggs, cheese, fish. And the diet tries to cut out foods like bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and sweets.
